The Lawrence Home

Abby enjoys living with the Lawrences. They have some interesting collections and two dogs named Chalace and Pip. Abby says it is a happy home and that Milton Keynes is a happy place to be.

First Baptism - 1 month out!

"Kofi Boakye is going to be baptized on Saturday! It came as quite a shock to all of us and I will admit I was a little skeptical (he wanted to be baptized before the second lesson) but he has an amazing testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel and I can feel his relationship with our Savior. It's wonderful. He is going back to Ghana for school and wanted to be baptized before so it's been a little crazy. I didn't know how much work it was to plan and prepare a baptism."

Looks like everyone pulled it off. The date was August 26th. Abby's 1 month anniversary!!

Abby and her companion with an investigator named Temi from Nigeria. Her baby is just one day old. She has a baptism date for September 15. Abby writes that of the 8 progressing investigators 7 are from Africa. Her companion, Sister Anyanwu is actually a native-born Swede whose parents are from Nigeria. Isn't it wonderful to be part of a truly world-wide church?

Abby's Room at the Lawrences

I think this is Abby's room at the Lawrences in Milton Keynes.

Lawrence Home and Silver Corsa

After reporting to the mission home in London, Abby and her companion were assigned to the town of Milton Keynes, NW of London. They live with the Lawrence family in this house at

47 Colesbourne Drive, Milton Keynes

MK15 9AW

England

Abby DRIVES!! That is their little silver Corsa in front. She says that every intersection in Milton Keynes is a roundabout and that the Brits are crazy drivers. Good luck, Abby!

Chorley Market

The missionaries were able to walk down to the nearby village of Chorley. Abby said it was entertaining to see the mostly American Elders taking pictures like crazy and carrying on like they just "found the golden ticket!"

The beautiful Preston, England Temple. Abby and companions were able to attend two times.

Abby with her MTC Companions, Sister Abgaryan from Artashut, Armenia (1 hour SE of Yeravan) and Sister Boscarino from Taranto, Italy. She absolutely loved her companions and learned so much from them - including some Armenian from Sister Abgaryan. Abby was able to be Sister Abgaryan's escort when she went through the temple. "I'm very heppy! This place is much beautiful!" exclaimed Sister Abgaryan. They were the only sisters in the MTC and because of the language barriers, Abby became the sister "spokesman." Sister Abgaryan went to the London South Mission and Sister Boscarino toTeluce France. What a great gospel it is that brings girls from three corners of the world together in such unity of purpose and love!

Room with a view. Looking out of Abby's MTC window at beautiful Preston, England.

Abby traveled to England with Sister Sorenson from St. George. She was going to the Madrid MTC to serve in Barcelona.
