E-mail - May 9, 2007

"It's too bad the weather didn't last through this week. It has been cold and rainy but beautiful, none the less. Thank you for the pictures. They came at just the right moment as they always do. I can't believe how big my Ben is! Andrew too! I love my nephews and can't wait to spoil them. I can't believe it has already been a week since the last e-mail but there are so many minutes since last week that it seemed to last an eternity. Minutes mostly spend waiting for doors to be opened, then shut. But we have also had success. Shel, has gone from drinkiing 30 cups of coffee a day to 3 in the last 2 days. It's a miracle. The power of replacement. Lemon and water pumped in bulk into an old addicts body. There is nothing better and she is so much happier.

Sister Grimwood is slowly but surely working on her husband. She doesn't want to force anything on him but I think he's softening. Last night we did a youth activity that was a mini-MTC and had the 'Elders' and 'Sisters' learned about the power of personal testimony. In Preaching my Gospel it says, "People may sometimes intellectually question what you teach, but it is difficult to question a sincere, heartfelt testimony." The key is to have one in the first place. When we feel the Spirit we cannot deny it, even if we later choose to reject what it tells us to do, when we feel it, we feel it. God is so good to us. I know how real He is. I love it. Life is wonderful. Talk to you soon. Sister Cannon"
